The following programs have been created to expand understanding of and support for Smart development among the broadest possible audience.

🔘   MCSC-I FELLOWSHIPS

The MCSC Institute awards four international research fellowships annually that include a monthly stipend and living accommodations. At the end of each year, a conference is held at MCSC that includes a live and virtual international audience for the presentation of the Fellows research results.

🔘   UNDERGRADUATE INNOVATOR COMPETITION

Each Fall, MCSC Institute will host the global Undergraduate Energy Innovator competition, that will culminate in a monetary award given for the top design produced by an undergraduate college student or team. The competition is open to students in any discipline for innovation that can be shown to save energy and can be produced for wide distribution.

🔘   "START SMART" FOR K-12

Learning about Smart is a lifelong endeavor, and it is never too early to begin. MCSC Institute has pioneered a program called “Start Smart” for K-12 students to learn about clean energy, sustainability, and carbon neutrality and what they can do to help reduce the impact of climate change. Start Smart is a self-programmed course available to schools globally and students who complete the course receive a “Climate Master” certificate.

🔘   SMART DATA MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE

A four-session online professional development course will be offered annually focused on data identification, measurement, monitoring, collection, and analysis for use in iterative growth across all types of Smart developments. This forward focused course will be taught by experts in Big Data and will be open to those whose work would be enhanced by the ability to effectively manage data in any type of built environment.

🔘   CLEAN ENERGY TECH INCUBATOR

An incubator for select early-stage clean energy focused start-ups, INVASTEC will provide the necessary support to help bring such entities to the next stage of development. From networking, mentoring, investment, and administrative support, INVASTEC connects energy-innovators and founders with the resources they need to advance quickly and intelligently tapping into the international market.

🔘   TESTING, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

MCSC Institute, through the MCSC development, can offer opportunities for new technologies to be tested in a physical environment and perfected for the marketplace. The MCSC Institute can facilitate access to markets where these innovative products are used to produce productivity and sustainability in both existing and new structures.

🔘   SMART PRODUCT FAIR

An annual Smart Product & Technology Fair will be held at MCSC to invite vendors, entrepreneurs, investors, and customers from across the world to come together around the latest products, innovations and technology for smart buildings and development. There will be a section devoted to prototype and future products, to solicit market reaction and feedback that helps guide these concepts toward market viability.

From the customer side, the Smart Product & Technology Fair provides a single venue to visit with hundreds of vendors and entrepreneurs, see their latest products, connect, network, discuss strategy, fit, budget and cost, and suitability for their own applications.

🔘   "ENERGY MATTERS" WEBINAR SERIES

A global webinar series, Energy Matters will offer several timely, pressing topics impacting Smart progress, with leading global experts in each area. The series will continue the essential conversation with thought leaders, innovators, experts, and visionaries representing education, all aspects of the building industry, energy, agriculture, and wellness champions, who will address the opportunities and frameworks that are pivotal to a Smart project's long-term success.

Each webinar will be open to a global audience, will be two hours in duration, and require advance registration.
