CHRIS TIEN LEE
ARCHITECT, LEED AP
PRINCIPAL & CO-FOUNDER
STUDIO T-SQUARE
OAKLAND, CA, US

Chris Tien Lee, AIA, believes that architecture is a reflection of life and the arts. His approach stresses the importance of designing with respect to the context —integrating the environmental characteristics of the surrounding area, the influence of the local culture, and the end user's input to create designs with real value and meaning.
His passion for art and design and his experience with multiple disciplines within the design world has given him a rich perspective on the field as a whole. He has worked at several internationally renowned urban planning and architectural design firms resulting in a broad base of experience that range from large-scale urban planning to intimate interior details.
After graduated with Bachelor of Architecture at Taiwan's Chungyuan Christian University, Chris continued postgraduate education in US and received a Master's Degree from UCLA's Architectural Design program, became a California Licensed Architect in 2003, and a LEED-Accredited Professional in 2007.
Chris co-founded Oakland based Studio T-square in 2010 and expanded the firm's international practice in China. He has been in charging of notable projects in China's Chengdu, Sanya, and Shanghai regions that received many design awards from both US and Chinese professional organizations. He currently also serves as guest jury and member of Diablo Valley College's Architectural Advisory Board.
